Barbera is right at home up in the northwest of Italy. It's a very versatile and adaptable grape variety that can result in wine of all kinds of styles, from light to intense, dry to sweet. The Anello Barbera comes from a vineyard area up on the hillside of Monferrato, where the clay and limestone soils work together to create grapes with excellent fruit concentration, but present a medium-weight wine with elegance too.
