The nose is boisterous and hearty, with blueberry and mulberry tones, the palate is bright and cheery with masses of energy and deeper notes of spice and coffee. Fresh, young reds like this need calming down with well-chosen food and so consider the heavenly repertoire of Italian dishes you can't go wrong. This is sophisticated wine, not mass-produced nonsense, made purely with you in mind. And it's a knockout.
