About the Wine

Bombo legüero is a traditional Argentine drum made from a hollowed tree trunk. The bombo serves as a combination of bass and percussion, not just maintaining the beat but evoking an elemental, visceral response much like this red. It marries the best of Mendoza's widely planted grape varieties, and whilst Malbec tends to steal the limelight, grapes such as Bonarda, Cabernet and Tempranillo are also well suited to the warm dry climate. In fact many of these vineyards have become older and produce excellent quality fruit which Guillaume harnesses here to perfection.
