Eberle, based in Paso Robles, in between San Francisco and Los Angeles, isn't exactly a hotbed of footfall. But Gary Eberle's winery draws the crowds from all over. They have hundreds of thousands of wine tourists knocking on their doors every year with the vast majority of their wine sold 'cellar door'. It's a beautiful place to visit, no doubt about that, but it's the breadth and quality of their portfolio that's the most magnetic factor. The Vineyard Selection Cab tops the pile and is Gary's favourite wine, full of varietal fruit but with an ease about it that suits it to any occasion.
