The Pizo series is all about varietal character. The location of the vineyard, its altitude and the soil type all play an important role in allowing the fruit here to express everything it can and should. The long days of Spanish summer sunshine where the fruit can gradually but thoroughly ripen. The altitude keeps the temperature in check so there's no chance of over-ripeness. And then there's the slate-rich soils which give the wine a clear and defined structure and a mineral texture to the palate.
