Cabernet's home is in Bordeaux. Indisputably the finest in the world... nearly. In '76 there was a rather crushing blind tasting where the Californians trumped the classic Bordeaux grandees. Whoops. Nowadays California has a rep for awesome Cab. This wine, is not $500 a bottle like the top wines, but it is excellent nonetheless. Richly fruited and decadent, with classic cassis and oak flavours.
