This wine is a classic Bordeaux blend given the Aussie treatment, (given a bit of girth) and mellowed in premium oak barrels in the winery cellar. The effect is dramatic: superb weight and punchiness is softened; fruit and oak is harmonised; exuberant Aussie fruit is slightly tamed and the juice, now bottled, is starting to take on secondary qualities of earth and leather. It's proof that vegan wines can pack a serious punch, as there's still plenty of juicy, dark fruit character for your palate to bathe in.
